About the Role

Marketing and Content Coordinator

Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 Pro Rata (2 days per week)

Working arrangement: Based in Milton Keynes, with travel to live events and occasional evening or weekend work

MFK Recruitment is recruiting a Marketing and Content Coordinator to join a well-established and creative business specialising in live events, event production and experiential projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, organised and commercially minded marketing professional who enjoys producing engaging content, developing marketing campaigns and seeing their work come to life.

Our client delivers a variety of live events and creative projects, working with talented teams across production, design and technical disciplines.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the company's day-to-day marketing activity, capturing content from live events, developing its digital presence and supporting business growth through targeted marketing campaigns.

This position would suit someone who enjoys a varied role, has a strong eye for content and is equally comfortable creating social media posts, visiting events with a camera and researching new business opportunities.

The Role

Working closely with the Managing Director and wider team, you will be responsible for planning, creating and delivering marketing content across multiple channels.

You will have the opportunity to get behind the scenes of live events, capture the work being delivered and turn it into engaging content that showcases the company's creativity, expertise and capabilities.

Alongside content creation, you will help identify new markets, develop targeted campaigns and support the company's ongoing commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing and Content Creation

  • Plan, manage and maintain the company's marketing and content calendar.
  • Create engaging content for social media, websites, email campaigns and other digital platforms.
  • Write and edit compelling copy for marketing materials, advertising, case studies and promotional campaigns.
  • Design graphics and social media assets using Canva, Adobe or similar creative software.
  • Capture and edit photography and short-form video for marketing purposes.
  • Attend live events, rehearsals, production builds and other activities to gather behind-the-scenes content.
  • Turn completed projects, client successes and team achievements into engaging marketing stories.
  • Maintain consistent branding, messaging and tone of voice across all marketing channels.

Digital Marketing and Campaigns

  • Manage social media content, including planning, scheduling, publishing and engagement.
  • Keep website content accurate, relevant and optimised for search engines.
  • Develop and coordinate targeted email marketing and digital campaigns.
  • Monitor social media performance, website traffic and campaign engagement.
  • Analyse marketing results and recommend improvements to increase reach and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers where required to support marketing activities.

Collaboration and Event Content

  • Work closely with production, projects, design and operational teams to identify marketing opportunities.
  • Attend events and project locations to capture authentic content.
  • Coordinate photography, filming and interviews with colleagues, clients and venues.
  • Ensure appropriate permissions and approvals are obtained before publishing content.
  • Manage competing priorities and respond to new marketing opportunities as they arise.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in marketing, content creation, digital marketing or communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong copywriting and proofreading abilities.
  • Experience creating engaging content for social media and digital platforms.
  • Practical experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software.
  • Ability to capture and edit photography and short-form video.
  • Good understanding of social media platforms, content scheduling and performance analytics.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistent branding.
  • A full UK driving licence and valid passport.
  • Willingness to travel and occasionally work evenings or weekends when events require it.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous marketing experience within live events, event production, creative agencies or a B2B environment.
  • Experience producing marketing content at live events.
  • Knowledge of website content management and SEO best practices.
  • Experience developing email marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and supporting new business development activity.
  • Experience producing case studies, client presentations or promotional materials.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys marketing and content creation, rather than simply managing social media accounts.

You will be naturally curious, confident in communicating with different teams and comfortable taking ownership of projects from initial ideas through to delivery.

The ideal candidate will be creative enough to spot a great content opportunity, organised enough to deliver it on time and commercially aware enough to understand how marketing contributes to business growth.

An interest in live events, production, design or the wider creative industries would be particularly beneficial.

What's on Offer?

  • The opportunity to join an established business operating within the live events and creative production industry.
  • A varied position combining digital marketing, content creation and live event experiences.
  • The chance to attend events and capture exciting projects behind the scenes.
  • Direct involvement in shaping the company's marketing activities and digital presence.
  • Close collaboration with senior management and creative production teams.
  • Opportunities to develop your experience across marketing strategy, content production and business development.
